"Through the years I have had many influences as we all have. I think it's pretty apparent that Danny Dan The Beatmann takes the cake for my Dusty Fingers/Crime jazz influence...right? Well not only has Dan become a personal friend/influence, but so has another heavy weight Dj, Mr. Supreme/Supreme La Rock/Danny Clavesilla! While booking Supreme for a show many moons ago, I not only got to hear his taste/view on music, but also became to know him as a pretty cool guy/mentor. I'll never forget one night when him and I were in L.A. and I asked him, "do you have any party/jump off tracks that I can get"? Not only was Danny kind enough to throw me a few hits, but I also had to track them down on vinyl...right? That is when I first got introduced to Disco/Rap. It was so soulful, yet so danceable! It was literally everything that I had been looking for yet never knew. So, I decided to make a mix of party tracks that Supreme introduced me to! Is it perfect....NO! Is is edited....NO! It is literally a live mix I just made in my studio of all original 12" and 45 records. No fluff, no nothing. Just a straight mix dedicated to the dude that taught/gave me the "disco bug".
